The Screamer Company’s self-promotion ad wins big at the Regional ADDY Awards
AUSTIN, TX – May 15th, 2009
The Screamer Company, an Austin-based full-service advertising firm, took home a silver ADDY® Award during the American Advertising Federations 10th District Convention in Houston earlier this month. The companies “phone in a box” self-promotion advertisement for the firm won the prestigious award.
“It’s been a great year for The Screamer Company and we’re honored to be recognized by the American Advertising Federation for our work in a category with such talented entries,” said Scott Creamer, president, The Screamer Company. “We look forward to creating what will hopefully become more award-winning advertising in 2009!”
With more than 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY® Awards are the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the three-tiered competition is unique among other advertising creative competitions in that it is the only competition that includes three levels of judging: local, regional, and national. Winning an ADDY® at each level qualifies the work to progress to the next, higher level.

Local Advertising Firm Takes Home Three ADDY® Awards
AUSTIN, TX – April 21, 2008
The Screamer Company, an Austin-based full-service advertising firm, took home three ADDY® Awards during this year’s award season; a local award for its Holiday 2007 self-promotion advertisement as well as a local and regional award its HIV/AIDS awareness campaign. The ADDY® awards are presented yearly by the Austin Advertising Federation.
“We were thrilled to win one award, let alone three. There were many deserving entries, and to even be considered was an honor” said Scott Creamer, president, The Screamer Company. “We were very passionate about these campaigns, and I think the results speak for themselves not only in honors they’ve earned, but more importantly, in the awareness each campaign was able to raise.”
The Screamer Company was awarded a bronze ADDY from the Austin Advertising Federation for their Holiday 2007 self-promotion and a silver for their HIV/AIDS awareness campaign. After moving on to the District 10 competition in Houston, they were awarded a gold ADDY for their AIDS awareness campaign.
The Austin Advertising Federation and District 10 ADDY Awards are a yearly award show featuring the best in advertising in Austin and across the southwest. Nationally over 60,000 entries are sent to the ADDY Awards; it’s the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world.
“The competition in this region, especially in Austin, is fierce and we were very proud to come out on top” says Creamer.
